Most of the clothing we wear is made to be used, then tossed away - creating a mountain of waste. The traditional way of making t-shirts is all about a linear path - make it, wear it, bin it. But with over 2 billion tonnes of waste piling up every year, we thought there had to be a better way. Not only is it a strain on the planet, but it\u2019s also a waste of good materials and money. It just doesn\u2019t add up, does it? <\/p>

Thinking in circles, not lines<\/h3>

So when we were setting up Big Stories, it was really important that we worked suppliers who\u2019ve flipped the script on how t-shirts are made. Instead of following the usual \u201cwear and waste\u201d model, they\u2019ve embraced a circular approach, where worn-out materials are turned into new products, keeping the cycle going without the waste. <\/p>

With a circular supply chain, there\u2019s no \u201cend.\u201d It\u2019s all about keeping things in motion. <\/p>

Made to order in the UK<\/h3>

The entire production process is optimised with smart tech, making the factory where our products are printed more efficient, productive, and, importantly, sustainable. <\/p>

Every single t-shirt we design is custom-printed - meaning we don\u2019t print anything until after it\u2019s ordered. No stockpiles, no waste. When you place an order, the details are sent straight to the closest factory, and your t-shirt is printed within seconds.<\/p>

This digital process makes packing 30% more efficient, saving time and energy. And to keep the carbon footprint as small as possible, the factories are run on renewable energy. <\/p>

From wasteful to wonderful<\/h3>

In traditional fashion, clothes are made before anyone even wants them. That leads to 40% of those clothes never even being worn\u2014they go straight to waste. With a print-on-demand model, that waste is cut down to zero. <\/p>
